Quest 3 Is Finally Revealed & Quest 2 Is Getting More Powerful!

In today's video, I will be bringing you a recap of yesterday's gaming showcase and the events before it. The brand new Quest 3 was actually revealed yesterday, which will be the successor to the Quest 2, not only will it be more powerful and have better lenses but it will also have advanced augmented reality features! We will also talk about something that seemed to go under the radar for many, the Quest 2 and Quest Pro will be getting a significant performance increase in a future software update. The price of the Quest 2 will also be going down on June 4th, so this is something you can look forward to. At the very end, I will go through a few of the new titles that were talked about during the gaming showcase. I hope you enjoy the video :D

The controllers won't have any tracking at all, they're just gonna have a guy in the room with you watching where you move your hands and desperately trying to move the in game models to match

Very interesting news today. One of the reasons I like your channel nowadays is that you talk mostly about hardware and not just start playing games like some do... I only wonder how much space you need for Asgard's Wrath... I re-installed the PCVR version last week and it needs a lot of space....

The black disk on top the controller is raised on the new controllers and could have room for the Infra Red Emitters. Plus, the depth sensor would improve tracking.

I wonder how well will it track up high, doesn't seem to have any cameras up top, like if your hands move too high will it start bugging out?

Wonder if part of the performance difference between the Quest 2 & Quest 3 is in part due to a more solid positional tracking on two cameras rather than our current 4 allowing it to save some resources. Hoping QuestCraft is able to utilize this coming performance boos on the quest 2 & on the quest 3 in the future!

I've always hoped that Oculus would use electromagnetic controller tracking like Aura and the Pico Neo showed us in 2019.

Anyone think META is working on legs for avatars because of the depth sensor on the Q3? Makes sense to me. I hope the VR fitness games can enable tracked knees, elbows, and kicks. Supernatural already allows for kneee strikes, but they seem to be using some type of algorithm.
