In this video, I talk about Straight Talk $55 Ultimate Unlimited Plan. Straight Talk changed its $55 plan from 10GB to Unlimited Data. I think the $55 Ultimate Unlimited Plan is the same as the Samsung Unlimited Data Promo that Straight Talk offers.

People has been telling me that they can use mobile hotspot on Straight Talk... Straight Talk doesn't offer mobile hotspot, its in violation of their terms and conditions... Here's an excerpt of Straight Talk's terms and conditions:

7. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF SERVICE

Your Service (i.e., voice, text, or data services) may only be used for the following purposes: (a) person to person voice calls, (b) text and picture messaging, and (c) web browsing, email, ordinary content downloads and uploads, and video and audio streaming without excessively contributing to network congestion.

Your Service may not be used in connection with certain unauthorized uses that may adversely impact other customers using our Service or the Carrier’s network. Examples of some unauthorized uses include, but are not limited to, the following:

(i) continuous uninterrupted voice calls or otherwise using your voice service to provide monitoring services, data transmission, transmission of broadcasts, transmission of recorded material, interconnection to other networks, telemarketing activity, autodialed calls, or robocalls;

(ii) automated text or picture messaging to another mobile device or e-mail address;

(iii) uninterrupted and continuous uploading, downloading, or streaming of audio or video;

(iv) server devices or host computer applications, including, but not limited to, web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer ("P2P") file sharing;

(v) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections;

(vi) access to the internet, intranets, or other data networks except as the device's native applications and capabilities permit (excluding all hotspot applications),

(vii) any applications that allow your phone to act as an internet access point or Wi-Fi for other devices and computers.

A customer engaged in any unauthorized use may have their Service suspended and/or terminated in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to interrupt, suspend, cancel, or terminate your Service to protect the Carrier's network from harm due to any cause including, without limitation, the excessive and/or unauthorized use of the Service. We further reserve the right to limit, deny, or terminate Service to anyone we believe is using their Service in an unauthorized manner or whose usage, in our sole discretion, adversely impacts a Carrier's network or customer service levels. We will presume you are engaging in an unauthorized use in violation of these Terms and Conditions, if in our sole discretion, you are placing an abnormally high number of calls, or repeatedly placing calls of unusually long duration, if your voice minute total exceeds 43, 200 minutes during a 30-day period, or if your talk, text or data usage is harmful or disruptive to the Carrier's network or to our customer service levels. They turned off my personal hot spot use for this $55 a month plan. I called them and they were really rude and nasty. I was told by the rude and nasty customer service rep that I never had personal hot spot service in the first place and I told them that I have been using it since I bought the plan and that is the reason I continued to use their plan. I asked for a refund and they said no. I have contacted my credit card company for a dispute. I was enjoying using the personal hot spot in my service. I don't know why they have decided to SCAM me?

I use this plan. On the 23rd of Feb, straight talk cut my internet off at noon for "using to much data". They told me that I voided my contract with them. That you may only use 60 gb in 30 days. They made me buy a new card to get my internet back. No throttle.

For anyone that has a phone that allows them to utilize hotspot or anyone using PDANet. ALWAYS use a VPN. It makes it harder to detect what kind of traffic is going over your connection. Most VPNs utilize OpenVPN which uses compression so that helps too. If you're using PDANet you can also throttle your own connection. It'll help make sure you don't hit any red flags.

$55 for unlimited data on any of the 4 network is quite good, especially if you were to go with Verizon. I think this would be better than Boost's unlimited plan if the speed congestion does kicks in at 32gb, since Boost's slows down speed at 23gb in some areas (This is assuming if you choose to use Sprint towers via porting your phone or buying a device made to run on their network).

I thought this was a mistake. I used straight on Verizon usually 55 a month for 15GB. When the app showed 2000GB I'm like this gotta be a mistake or promotion. If this is permanent how can regular carriers compete? 55 unlimited on Vz, T-Mobile, spr, or ATT. How?

I’ve used more that 32gb and it’s still goin strong. On the straight talk app is says I still have around 1700gb’s left in my data plan out of 2000gb’s at the start of my plan. It’s Ultimately unlimited! What I want to kno is that maybe this just a limited time promotion or will the $55 plan be ultimate unlimited for good?
