I own a Seiko Monster 1st gen, my first "proper" watch, I was 15 back then and it fascinated me. That half pound steel tank is still one of my favorites, if not my favorite, absolutely amazing!

Good point. but that is the way how everyone gets in the game. Then You choose your path ; go higher, stop or may be get out. So technically Seiko is a good starting point for average salary guys in this point of view.
