Have a few brands of pencils, Derwent, Artist, Studio, cromaflow, coloursoft, lightfast, drawing Fabercastel polycroms, prismacolor staedler, Monte marte, Jasart.

Derwent Drawing are my favorite colored pencils. I use them to draw animals. I love then!!!

Thank you for sharing. I just ordered 18 new coloured pencils yesterday (Holbein and Luminance) and it is always nice to see swatches and other collections. For the Holbein ones your swatch video of the pastel set was a huge help as well.

I’ve been watching and reading about everything colored pencils... Love this video and your color choices! I’ve learned that most colored pencil artists use a combination of wax and oil. Wax for coverage and blending, and oil for detail. I’ve enjoyed buying open stock and tend to add both a wax (Luminance, Derwent Drawing) and oil choice (Polychromos) in the same color to my collection.

Great collection! Am currently waiting for my full set of Holbein's that I FINALLY ordered! :D I have all the others you have as well, but am still working on getting the full set of Lightfasts.I store all my pen in cases, but pull out what I need across collections/brands and do use cups on my desk. However, I've put a piece of thin foam at the bottom of my cup (secured with double-sided tape) so that I'm not banging my cores against the bottom of the cup when I "throw" back in my pencils. I'd suggest that for anyone storing their pencils in cups/containers. Don't wanna ruin our most valuable supplies :D Great review and vid.

Did you try Derwent coloursoft? I have some singles, but I definitely prefer the Lightfasts from Dewent. BTW Luminance are also my favourites :) I use polychromos mostly for details, hair, fur or small details, embellishments... They are perfect on the top of watercolor - I add details, contrasts etc :)

Where is the light sienna swatch? I don’t see it. The colors are beautiful. I am pencil impaired as far as drawing pencils and colored pencils

I can’t stand the derwent drawing pencils. Granted, I’ve only tried one, but I won’t be buying any more. Maybe it’s because I’m so heavy handed, but it crumpled to dust upon contact with the paper, created a wax bloom immediately, and every time I went to sharpen it the lead broke off below the wood line. I had to whittle it down with a knife just to use it, and now I only have half the pencil left. I’m genuinely surprised anyone has a good time with them. I’m glad you do, they’re far less expensive then their lightfast brand, which are much, much better in my opinion. Plus, they have my favourite colour Mars violet in that line, so I’m perfectly fine missing out.
