DID MY FAKE HOLBEIN PASTEL COLORED PENCIL CHART MATCH UP TO THE REAL ONES?! (Spoiler: Not Quite)

In today's video, we are just doing a quick comparison to see if my real Holbein Pastel 12 Colored Pencil Set matches up to the fake one I made on this channel quite a few months ago. I tried to match the Holbein pastel colors to colors from my full Luminance, Pablos and Polychromos sets to see how unique the Holbein pastel range really is.

Then, a few months back, I received the real Holbein Pastel 12 set as a gift! Somehow, I forgot to make a video comparing the real colors to my fake chart from before. Even though its only 12 colors, this was still fun to do and hopefully I can expand my range of Holbein pastel colors in the future.

I love that you are doing big projects in the background and still trying to release videos regularly. Yesss I remember that video! It’s a clever idea to do swatches from a set you have and see if it compares to the original set 🤩. I’d say you did a pretty good job color matching. Even if the shades weren’t exact- they still look in the same color family, just maybe a tad lighter or darker 💗👍🏻. 5/12 matches is good 👏🏻. Especially since the Pastel set has so many unique shades. I loveeee this pastel set 😍! 💖

the Holbiens do look so pretty but if you can make up the colours with pencils you have already then it saves money. and money saved is more money for supplies 😀

I matched about all but 3 with the Prismacolor from all 50 Holbeins

I think Wisteria is similar to discontinued Polychromos 139-Light Violet color tho.

I think the Holbein pastel dupes matched pretty well. Of course doing a side by side comparison will emphasize the differences, but overall the similarities are good enough. If you said the ‘fake’ Holbein pastel pencils were the real ones I would not no the difference LOL. 😅

The matches are pretty close for the most part, if one isn’t too picky with having exact shades! I still want the Holbeins but the price is more than I am willing to pay, therefore I shall continue wanting them. 😂
