The colossal statue of the ancient Egyptian King, Psamtik I was discovered in pieces - over 1,900 of them. Rebuilding it, at least partially, can help archaeologists identify his pose and the size of the statue.

One of the great pyramids should be fully restored. Humans have destroyed so much.

The step forward gives the statue more stability too, yes? If the feet were together, the statue could tip over.

Now how about someone explain how they achieves such levels of perfection and how elements like the face are so dead on accurate from left to right side of the face? So accurate that not even a computer can see a difference!

I bet the people who built these statues were not thinking thousands of years later we would be rebuilding them.

so 10m quartzite statue perfectly cut and crafted and transported where it was first eradicated, man what forces would be needed to destroyed this? and when? and honestly how did they make this seriously, chisels? mmm i doubt we could make it today out of quartzite, well im sure we could (maybe with AI and lasers) but why go to such an extend with such a hard rock and alot alot alot of time/money and they always get their anatomy beyond masterful level, hyper realistic statues all over Egypt made out of the hardest possible stone, the artist style is almost perfect barely anyone in history has achieve such levels of artist symmetry, only more common now with computers but somehow they did it, really make you wonder, so amazing and mysterious
