Let’s get this out there for educational purposes. It was called the land of Khemit because the soil along the Nile was black and fertile. It wasn’t called Khemit because the people had black skin tone. Sub Saharan Africans or Nubians we’re colored black on wall paintings while Egyptians were colored brown while their wives were light skinned. This only means one thing…the ancient Egyptian men were tanned because they spent more time in the sun than the women. We can also go over DNA haplgroups of the ancient mummies if you’d like.

People won't believe what they see in front of their faces if it doesn't fit their narrative.

Watching your videos together with your commentary, the sound of your voice... The anticipation! When the reconstructions come to life on screen, I actually feel my heart rhythm skip a beat... takes my breath away, the work you're doing... Does this ❤ heart sensation happen to anyone else I wonder?

Strange how people don't speculate if aliens built ancient Greek and Roman structures, but we know why

It's ignored because it's a nonsense claim.
Modern day Egyptians are the indigenous people of Egypt, which is proven by the matched DNA of mummies and today's Egypt population. Egyptologists say that kemet refers to the dark soil of Nail river banks. Saying ancient Egypt civilization was built by black Africans because it's located in Africa is like saying Babylon was built by Chinese/ Eastern Asian because it's located in Asia, which is a ridiculous claim.

Who thinks the name tutenkuten comes from Latin or Arabic it sounds like how modern day Africans speak.

When i was a young Indian kid, i would always wonder why Egyptians looked so much paler than me, despite Egypt being in Africa. My mom would tell me because they are rulers, they are lighter (insinuating that dark skinned people aren't worthy enough of ruling ugh colorism AND racism. I suffered from it a lot growing up, especially by my own pale skinned mom. I am as dark skinned as a lot of my African brothers and sisters. A lot of Indians used it as an insult to bring me down, but now I am just so proud that I can be associated with you guys. Love y'all).

As a brown man, i never understood the denial of ancient egypts blackness/african-ness. It was so obvious in all the textbook pictures, like they purposely selected all the images that looked black to be in the textbooks. I never even was aware that the race of the ancient egyptians was debated until after 2010 when i wanted to learn about egypt more. But seriously, its in the art how the depicted and viewed themselves. Its in their belief systems that they have African origins. I just dont get the denial.

Kemet is referred to the land.
The pharaohs were off all different phenotypes but the majority of the population has always been and will always be brown 🙏🏽💜

I would recommend adding a mild reddish-brown tint to some of these facial reconstructions. Not for all of them, but most of them. It is more accurate, I believe.

You are using your skin tone as a base. Dark skin has variations and gradations. This is evident in how dark-skinned Egyptians, with a reddish-brown tone, distinguished themselves from their darker brethren, the Nubians, in the hieroglyphics.

There are examples of the skin tone I am referring to, in Africa. You know what I'm talking about.

Besides this and other minor quibbles, I generally support your channel. You do good work.

Wow! this is fantastic because from the pics I've seen, you'd think they all had blonde hair and blue eyes, and in the summer, a light tan! I've always wondered about this because my grandfather was a very dark-skinned Egyptian! No one wants anyone of greatness to have dark skin...Why? I'm glad they kept Mansa Musa as a dark skin Man.

As a child it was obvious to me those were images of people of color. Self portraits.
