This list is a joke right?
Yoga pants
Reusable bags
Diverse food options
Beach is really not that far to
The only real reasons I can agree with is traffic and cost of living.

I was born in San Jose and lived there in the early 80’s. It was so different back then had kind of a small town feel.

As a San Jose native for 32 years, I totally agree man! Traffic and cost of living are my top worst for this area, but the diverse food is phenomenal!

It’s so weird to think that you’re 50. In my head I always imagine you as a late 20s guy

I grew up in San Jose when there were still orchards. My parents home on the edge of Cupertino was bought for $17, 000 in 1959. I was the 3rd class to graduate from Lynbrook High in 1970. When I got out of the Army the first time in 1989 I could not afford a home where I grew up so I bought in Gilroy. When I left the second time and came back in 2015, San Jose was so crowded that my wife and I try to avoid going to San Jose. I drive to work in Monterey every day and see a long line of traffic for those folks that live in Salinas and drive to San Jose every day. The price of homes is unreal for what you get.

I miss the Bay Area and San Jose. I lived there for 20 years and when I had the chance to buy a house, I passed it up thinking I'd find a better deal. Right after that, I witnessed the housing market start to sky rocket out of control. And, needless to say, I could no longer afford to rent and was forced out. I moved to So Cal, found a good job and bought my first house. I like Southern California, but I really do miss the Bay Area!

I love San Jose, love the food, love the hiking trails, love the diversity! It is pricey, but there are lots of opportunities that pay better than anywhere else.

San Jose has more people than San Francisco.

Most of these things on this list are true for most places in CA, not just San Jose. The traffic, the food variety, the earthquakes, the crowds. That’s pretty much CA.

Just biding my time till retirement (11 years and counting down) so I can get out of San Jose and California totally. Seriously, unless you're a millionaire it ain't worth moving here.

The housing prices are astronomical! My parents bought their house in 1975 for $43, 000. I remember my Mom telling my Dad she didn't know if they could afford a $400 a month mortgage. They were renting a 3 bedroom house in Cupertino for $195 dollars a month at the time. They're both gone now and my siblings and I sold that $43, 000 house for almost $1.3 million.

I went to SJSU in the late 90s. It sucked. It took me 39 years as a native Californian to figure out I needed to leave. San Jose is overrated and overpriced. I was over it. I’m in Boise ID now. I still hate California’s government.

One of the most soul crushing places I've ever been to. At almost any time of day the roads are clogged with single passenger cars commuting to work. Public transit is terrible. It takes an hour to travel ten miles. Nobody actually goes outside, they drive. You basically live at home, and your car is like an extension of your home. Kids do not go outside, their parents keep them on constant surveillance. Everyone is either a rich pretentious bastard or they are dirt poor. There is no middle class. Also a shit ton of immigrants that do not actually speak English. About half of the people I see outside actually speak English.
