Lifehacker's Jake Peterson has the safest way to delete your Twitter account. Before you do though, know that deleting your Twitter account actually isn't the best move for your security even with all the recent Elon Musk hijinx. The best course of action might be to hold on to your account and username, so it isn't snapped up by someone you don't want to have it. Especially with Twitter Blue coming back, you don't want someone verifying your old name and misusing it.

First time I've opened Twitter in years, so much better. Elon sucks and dumpster fire of twitter? You're not really open minded and must not like or want to acknowledge that people have different opinions and not everything and everyone has to be what you decide is ok. I've found Twitter to be far better in the last few weeks Bots have almost disappeared, stupid adverts have gone and my recommended feed seems to be better.

The people who are riding elons back don't see see twitter for how unbearable it's become, twitter was never great but it really is a burning plane now, don't know where everyone else here has been but bots are still a big problem, Elon is outright shown at times he's anti free speech and anti consumer with a horrible sense of humour I mean people are probably exaggerating about how bad it is but it's definitely worse 🤷

But that's my opinion I don't hate the platform nor the owner but people saying it's got better is just laughable, if a platform was doing better it wouldn't see mass stock drop, mass petty staff firing, banning of accounts that were slightly upsetting for Elon and finally mass account number drops 🤷 doesn't seem great at all but yer hate it but it's frankly the truth.

Great video, nice security awareness and additionally twitter loses more over dead accounts than fully deleted one.

Why should anyone delete their Twitter account? Twitter is finally fun, safe and an even playing field for all. Plus, actual engagement with real people is through the roof now. It’s not the bot infested cesspool it used to be, still some bots but it’s way less now. CP is finally being addressed since Elon took over... Yoel Roth’s old tweets showed how he was kind of into that stuff so it was no wonder they let CP run rampant before Elon bought Twitter.
