Padme and Rush had a romantic relationship some years before her marriage to Anakin. What if that old flame resurfaced during the clone wars? How would it resurface? I think it’s safe to say if this happened then Clovis would have to be careful not to choke on his aspirations. And honestly I wouldn’t have blamed Anakin for killing Clovis, as far as I’m concerned Anakin was in the right beating up Clovis, just that he was doing it for the wrong reasons assuming that Padme might’ve cheated rather than realising that she was almost sexually assaulted.
