What if Anakin didn’t willingly turn to the dark side but was being controlled by an inhibitor chip sidious had planted as a contingency plan in case he couldn’t turn Anakin, everything in episode 3 goes about the same other than Anakin wanting to help Windu only for sidious to activate the chip and no one is any the wiser. At some between the end of episode 3 and the end of 4 the chip could be removed and damaged enough for Anakin to regain control, maybe at the end of episode 4 for more angst after what he did to Leia and Obi-wan for maximum angst

Other than Luke, Padme is the only person that could bring Anakin out of Darth Vader. Good choice.
Day 182 of my list. What if; Anakin never gave into his feelings for Padme (Pentre Patrol did his version), Aayla Secura was the chosen one and became Darth Talon, Shme Skywalker was adopted by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett saved his Tusken family, Count Dooku was a regular count for the CIS, Jabba the Hutt supported the Jedi at the Start of the Clone Wars, and finally, what if Sabine and Ezra fell in love?

This was amazing. I’ve been a fan of your videos for a while and it’s always fun to see your interesting SW what if’s. It was also fun to see Padme convincing Anakin to leave Mustafar with her getting shown some love. This is definitely an interesting scenario and it should definitely get shown some more love. Plus I think we can all agree that this is probably one of the most interesting/best case scenarios in SW…but it’s a welcome one. Also if Padme did convince Anakin to leave with her…then it would definitely be an interesting opportunity to show another side of her character and make it even more interesting. It was also nice to see Padme help save/help Anakin in the most unique way getting shown some love, since she usually never gets the chance to do meaningful stunts like this (no more than usual) that much and it was a nice change of pace to see her take the initiative and definitely made us all impressed. Plus it was nice to see Padme get that opportunity to prevent a major tragic event from happening…afterall it was nice to see her have a solid plan, afterall this was probably the smartest course of action she could take, so it was nice to see her come up with this plan to shift the power balance of the galaxy, since she knows that there’s still opportunity and hope in the galaxy. Also it’s always nice to see just how determined Padme truly is…also this was definitely something Padme would do. It was also nice to see Padme have these nice moments with Anakin and get to know her character even more. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next.

I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s:

1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling.

2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever.

3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this.

4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st)

I hope these are some amazing ideas for some potential What if’s

How would Anakin be the most hunted man? People despited Jedi at the time and legally, he was really just following Palpatines order who was supported by the senate

So the thing about if Anakin could or should be redeemed - I always like to compare this to the Legends character Kyp Durron - who is responsible for the destruction of a planet when he fell to the Dark Side.

In Kyp's case, the New Republic argued he should be put to death - you know, cause mass murder/genocide and all that - But Luke argued that allowing him to live, but only if he served as a Jedi and stayed in the light, serving the people of the Galaxy - the idea being that Kyp would essentially no longer have a choice in the matter - he HAD to stay a Jedi or his pardon would be revoked.

It wasn't pure compassion either - there were only a handful of Jedi at that point and Jedi were becoming a big deal again. Putting Kyp to death would be like tossing aside one of your best weapons, when you're surrounded by enemies still.

I could see the same argument applied to Anakin. If he were redeemed, his life would no longer be his choice. His peanance would see him a slave again in fact - a Jedi slave. He would have to serve the people and protect the Republic - he'd probably be stripped of command rank and just used as a sort of living weapon. Point him at the bad guys and let him do his thing. But if he agreed to such a thing - I think he would deserve to live and be pardoned otherwise.

I like the idea that Anakin would send would be padewans to Luthal while he journeys through the outer rim including Tatuine and maybe sending a certain RAY of sunshine to Luthal

I honestly wish u kinda gave anakin more a of a redemption towards the end maybe make it a few minutes longer with anakins redemption being him dismantling the slave trading and taking down the criminal empire that maul built as a way sort of redeem himself I kept thinking anakin was going to show up to fight palpatine save obi wan and die taking palpatine with him but I guess it’s understandable that he wasn’t there and I like that u put in the fact that once anakin breaks free from the dark sides influence he would break down and have so much trauma for his actions showing that despite anakin being strong he can still break from his actions even after he dies and obi wan teaches him how to become a force ghost he breaks down towards obi wakes apologizing for all that he had done

The writing here is so mature, I love it.
Dexter feeling guilty is such a nice touch to the story. Totally irrelevant to the grand scheme, but makes the video that much better, by really making it feel like Obi Wan is hiding with a good friend, whose an actual person with complicated feelings and not just having a pit stop, to get his wound fixed. The description of the Naboo citizens is also kinda mystifying in a way. Idk if that's the right word, I can't find a better expression, but you really made the planet feel alive, with only one sentence, while highlighting how bizarre the situation was.

I'm sure the ending bit was only about your own writing and not about anyone else specifically, but it kinda feels like a jab against old star wars theory videos, since he always gave his what ifs simpler conclusions. But that doesn't feel right, cause what you said about Anakin was right. A man who genocided a religious group, murdered children, then executed unarmed criminals can't come back from that, even if he regrets it.
But he owned up and did the best he could, for everyone around him and that shows that behind those horrible crimes, was a good person
