Most underrated answer to this question is a short spear. Cheap on material, easy to make, gives some range, can use from behind protection, can be used to hunt and fish and a great walking stick

People in zombies movies and games always have these extravagant weapons (barbed wire baseball bay, electrified golf club, spinning blade axe, etc) when in reality, the best melee weapon would just ve a nice sharp spear. Best for keeping a distance, lightweight, cheap, replaceable, and easy to keep clean. Imagine how much of a pain it would be to clean Lucille (Negans barbed wire baseball bat from Walking Dead) after a few zombies, or how badly the rotting chunks of meat tangled in the wire would stink.

I’d be concerned about how well the antler pieces would hold up. While I’m sure it’s a mostly sturdy weapon, after penetrating some skulls and hastily pulled out, I’m not sure it would retain the spikes. I’d be more confident in the club itself being used for bashing.

This looks like something id see in the hand of a Haida warrior while hes covered in a vest of copper tiles. You should make a vest of copper tiles...from natural vein copper. I like it. Less chance of getting stuck in a head. Well made.
