On 3 or 4 occasions I have tested myself with the same home testing device JUST BEFORE going into the fancy lab at a major medical center where we receive our care. The results were IDENTICAL EVERY TIME. "Their's is probably WAY more accurate" is NOT accurate! I love you man...there is a greater than zero chance that you have contributed to a longer and healthier life for me. Thank you.

I had my A1C decrease from 6.5 to 5.3 in less than 3 months and I still can't believe it. I ran the blood work twice just to confirm. Your brother in Christ.

Dennis, you are so articulate-
A pleasure to watch.
Viewers surely appreciate that you're non-judgemental & so encouraging.
Thankfully, my last A1C score was 4.8.

The interesting thing about this video is this is how I found this channel 3 years ago. I have bought one of these test kits from Walmart and the directions on the kit looked kind of long so I looked for it on YouTube video I looked at a couple of them and this one seem to be the most simplistic explanation of how to use it and ever since then I’ve been following the channel.

Dennis, thanks for this great video. I'm in Canada and ordered a Walgreen's kit from Amazon. Reading the instructions is one thing but seeing it done is much better, so this was a great help. I agree with you that seeing good numbers is very inspirational and it has the same effect on me as you describe. That's why I was so disappointed my doctor stopped my A1C tests, thinking I am cured of T2 diabetes. I will always continue to use my Mike meter daily and check my A1C every 6 months because I know T2 diabetes does not just go away. If it wasn't for the work I put into it, I would not have results like the 4.9% I received today. God bless.

Dennis, you make a valid point about testing. I get a kick out of seeing my good numbers and find it very motivating to continue and to do even better.

I reduced mine from 9.2 to 5.9 in 6 months. I eliminated almost all carbohydrates from my diet. I didn't even know what the "keto diet" was. I arrived at it by experimentation, testing my glucose levels and changing components of my diet. Fats and low starch vegetables, nuts and such is working very well. Portion control and exercise are part of it. I don't get hungry as often. I do intermittent fasting too. Oh.. and I lost 50 pounds in a year. The first part of that loss was calorie restriction and stopping my beer-swilling.

I found this kit via Amazon for about the same prices. 3 tests. I took one the day my Dr did his fancy kit. I was 5.4 in his office and 5.7 on the home kit. My CGM was giving me an Estimate of 5.8, if I recall. All in all, I was pretty happy seeing these numbers.

Dennis ... I recently bought your book "60 Ways To Lower Your Blood Sugar". Great info and easy to understand. I recommend it for anyone trying to figure out how to beat diabetes. I recently got my first A1C test and it came out at 5.6 just a digit from pre-diabetic at 5.7. I was SHOCKED. I rarely eat junk or processed food - I am a largely organic plant based with some pasture raised - wild caught animal protein - I am not overweight and I exercise about 4 to 5 times a week. WOW ... never would have guessed. So, after much research I am going to a high fat - low complex carb - animal protein diet like Dennis suggests to see how it goes. Bye bye rice - pasta - potatoes ... my true loves. Just not worth it ... this morning I had bacon and eggs for the first time in I don't know how long and let me tell you it was delicious. OK ... y'all for you "newbies" out there wish me luck. I will be getting tested again in 3 months ... cross fingers I make some progress in lowering my A1C.

Without your show, I’d be lost. Now, I think I have garnered a lot of your wisdom. Benedicta’s too! Thx!

I was diagnosed June 4th with a 9.6 a1c, found your page and now I’m at a 6.6 a1c. I come see you every few days, for fellowship and reminders. My goal is to bring it to a 5.7 within 90 days.

I’m definitely not a Christian or believer of faith in general, but I do appreciate your science based knowledge, it was extremely motivational. Thank you.
