HACK to eat more slowly! Mindful eating tip.
➡️A lot of people are trying to learn to eat more slowly so that they have time to eat in a more mindful way, chew their food longer, and actually feel satisfied with what they’re eating.

But if you’ve always been used to eating quickly, that can be difficult to actually manage.

🍽️The common tip is to put your utensils down in between bites, but it can be a bit unnatural and annoying to do constantly.

😋A tip I prefer is to make sure that you’ve cleared out any food in your mouth before reaching for that next bite. It can be a practical way to chew better, to actually realize and take in what you’re eating, and to focus more on your meal.

This is such good advice. I am known to be ready with the next spoonful before the first one’s done. I honestly have no reason to hurry. I don’t know why I rush eating.

By the way, what do you think about the idea that your stomach is the size of your fist? That your portions or meals should fit this size so that you don't overeat, and your stomach is full, but not overstretched?
