Once you cut the screw, tighten it slightly THEN remove the screw.

I've known this for 30 years, and I'm no electrician. Along with many jobs i have had over the years, audio video is my passion. It's crazy watching other people still use crimping plyers as wire strippers.
I was once told using wire strippers were a waste of time, lol. Yeah ok, then do it the wrong way. And they did!
When you're right and you know it, it's a great thing. We need to pass on this knowledge to the younger generations, they're gonna need it!

The cutters are a huge help. I had a light fixture that requires very long (>2”) 8-32 bolts. All i could get were 3” which were difficult to screw into the plastic box because you had to screw in almost a full inch. I cut it down them down to about 2 and a quarter so they were the perfect length.
