Excited to play Signs of the Sojourner when it comes to Switch (sometime soon?) -- that game seems built for gameplay. Also look forward to playing some (currently) Apple Arcade exclusives at some later date.

Though it's not a "Top 10" game because of gameplay limitations, I'd give honorable mention to Before I Forget: a little one-hour game which affected me emotionally in a way that no game has in many years. It's a first-person meditation on dementia and loss, and it resonated especially hard with me since I watched my father go through several stages of dementia before he passed. Really quite breathtaking to play, and a promise of what interactive games of that type can be in the future given the right creative team.

Couldn't agree more on Hades, it's incredible! Personally I also enjoyed a lot this year: Carto, Noita, and if we consider "releases", of course Risk of Rain 2 and Factorio. A lot of fantastic indie games this year. I love the style in Spiritfarer, such a beautiful game.

GIG never dissapoints me from indie content, you are 1 of the last and probably the one with this professional approach and brilliant writing about games and points that you give to the game and an explanation of why it got to the top, you can disagree with this, but it is impossible not to respect. It's a shame that only Top10, think about 20 next year, because indie games are the last stronghold of creativity, talent, ideas and real gaming as AAA falls into the abyss. And yes, since 2011, I'm an SGG fan and I'm just happy, as if for my guys, that since Bastion, they were finally recognized at the highest level, and not just the local indie, Hades is their ticket to the big league, can't wait to see the next big game from them. I don't know what I would do without indie games, because I am disappointed in big games, this is the industry's last hope, so thanks for making this content, from Russia with Respect, keep going!

Love the channel. For some unknown reason, Hades never really clicked with me. My own personal favourites are A Short Hike and The Long Dark on Switch, though neither of those are truly 2020 releases because of earlier releases on other formats.

Okay, but seriously - and not nearly as many asked this as I (or apparently you) imagined - but a couple have and you haven't answered yet (one just got a "well put!'?) - how the heck is Ori 2 an indie? ... Recognizing that "indie" is a somewhat individual target, I'm at least curious what your definition of the term is -and isn't (what things don't disqualify an "indie", that might for others?) Great video, just discovered the channel, already love it!
