For me, Celeste is #1, though I can respect Hades, Hollow Knight and Disco Elysium as well. They're all really good.

I don't know why Celeste and Hollow Knight aren't higher on the list.

Dead Cells would be in the top 5 on my list, with slay the spire as an honorable mention.

I'm glad Outer Wilds got mentioned but IMO deserves a spot on the main list. Definitely one of my favourite games in recent history.

I'm happy you gave The return of Obra Dinn and Night in the Woods a shout out. Those two games stuck with me when I played them and still do to this day, for different reasons. While all these games on this list get rightfully high praised, I feel these two unjustly fall under the radar
