I have made that mistake with a company, interview with them and we both liked each other. 2 months later, my mental health is a mess and I am actively looking for a new job. A year later, that whole management team was fired and black listed

All companies are always on probation. There is nothing keeping employees indentured to their employer.

The way he phrases it here is just to make you feel better about being on a probation period with the company.

I love that Dave knows the 90 days rubs both ways.

Yup. Every person we've hired that has quit or been termed has found a better more suitable position. We're also happy to help people start their own business. Everyone should form an LLC right out of High School.

Totally reasonable that employers have a probationary period for new employees. Also totally reasonable for employees to have a probationary period for their employers.
My employer is on constant, permanent probation. If it happens that my staying employed there becomes no longer harmonious with my life goals, the relationship will end.

I worked 3 weeks at a pizza joint in 1977. Walked away. Lesson learned: NOT cut out for the food biz.

How does this matter or make any difference in a Right to Work state, where you can be fired for any or no reason at any time?

I've had a job where i pretty much knew i wasn't a fit on the very first day.

Called someone i knew from networking, they had room for me on their team. That same Friday(5th day) I let my boss I was leaving. They failed their probation.

There's no 90 day. Those that eject were your potential stars, but you were not good enough for them

I once applied for a vending machine route man job. He read my form, very brief interview, then he pretty much called me a lazy worthless bum and sent me out the door! Anyone had one of those?

What are the reasons or mistakes for working for him? Too hard?

In the US, everyone is in probation every day of their working lives...you can be fired any day with no reason needed and not be owed a dime in severance.

I mean, of course you're on probation Dave. You don't own your hires. They don't need permission to leave.

Reason why they leave is because they cant gossip and can't be late for work

I would never want to work for this man. Unless he made me rich. Then I guess I’d put up with his shit.

…..I couldn’t imagine why anyone would want to work for you .

This is how all Catholic Schools should run! Get the crabby, complaining, mean teachers OUT! They just make the environment stressful and drag down morale.

😂 So what happens after the probation? Do you give them a real contract like the one I had in Switzerland with a 4 month notice period and severance? You are a joke
