First day on the new job tips:

1. Find out where the bathroom or bathrooms are so you don't have an accident.
2. Make good friends with HR and payroll because they're the ones who make sure you get paid.
3. Don't tell everyone your life story. People don't need to know everything about you.

Follow those and you'll likely get past the 3 month probationary period lol. 😁

I wish I had known about the "greet everyone you run into with a handshake" tip earlier! When I started at an office job, I did not do this (usually just gave a quick hello/good morning in passing), and it made it difficult and awkward to actually try to get to know people once I got comfortable with the environment. Easier to introduce yourself when you are new, instead of when you have already been there for a month!
