After Dr. Berry shares his thoughts on the role of cholesterol in the carnivore diet, and other common concerns, Mikhaila encourages Dr. Berry to go all in and try the Lion Diet. If you have been meaning to follow a meat-based diet, listen to Dr. Berry here.

Dr. Ken Berry is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a Board Certified Family Physician who has been practicing Family Medicine for over a decade in Tennessee. He is also the author of the book “Lies My Doctor Told Me” with a mission to help people reclaim their health.

I've been on the Carnivore Diet since April (thanks to Jordan Peterson) . Here's what happend to my body (I'm 60). I lost 24 lbs, my arthritis is completely GONE, my psorisis is 90% gone, the brown spots on my face and hands went away! The callus at the bottom of my foot (which I have to cut off every few weeks for 10 yrs) is GONE. I have complete bladder control. I've dropped from a size 12 to a size 8, the constant yeast in between my legs and belly button is GONE, my insomia is GONE....mood swings gone....my work performance has increased, mental clarity is 100% . I never knew how crappy I felt until it all went away!

Every single time I hear someone say, *_without exception, _* that red meat, salt, eggs, saturated fat, cholesterol etc. are what's causing things like diabetes, atherosclerosis and obesity, I tell them they are absolutely incorrect, and that it's sugar, carbs, and polyunsaturated fats that are causing it and linking/referring them to Dr. Berry's chanel.

I'm doing my part.

This is very true. I lost over 200 lbs doing carnivore keto. I've been in maintenance for 5 years. I've had the worst medical life, I've battled 4 different types of cancer, I've had 2 strokes, 1 paralyzed my left side for about a year. I had a full hysterectomy at 22 and my cancer was hormone reactive so no hormones since 22 by 30 I had osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in every joint at 31, severe degenerative disc disease, moderate kyphosis to my thoracic spine. Compartment syndrome to my dominant arm and hand by a anesthesiologist severing my radial artery. I had a brain aneurysm rupture, survived that by the Grace of God, surviving another one unruptured. I've had 52 surgeries and lost every organ I can and still be alive, plus 2 ribs to get my left kidney out that had 7 massive tumors that engulfed it. It hit my lump nodes. I've needed cervical, thoracic and lumbar surgery, my left shoulder needing replaced along with my right hip because it's took the brunt from taking up the slack for my left, which is my dominant side. My doctors suggested I watch protein being I lost my left kidney. They have no idea about anything they didn't read in a textbook. I was horrible and no one had enough sense in order to help me, my case was too daunting and most told me that they didn't feel adequate to take my case. I was immobile for 6 years, something clicked and said I have to save myself because no one else is going to. I swung for the fences and researched for those 6 years and I implemented carnivore keto and 6 weeks in I came off of 2 brown grocery bags of medications from the pharmacy. I used to joke and say I was going grocery shopping when I went to pick up my meds. I take nothing now not even for pain and I was in so much morphine couldn't touch it. Carnivore keto stopped all of the pain and that's the reason I ran with it so hardcore. Until I was 39, I couldn't remember a pain free day, I had forgotten what it felt like to feel good. Can you imagine the mental damage that caused? Everything changed in a blink, I was mad at myself for being fooled and listening to doctors. It took me 11 months to lose 200 pounds and honestly I would have still done it and been hardcore even if I didn't lose an ounce. The mental clarity, the pain relief, the absence of GERD, which even water made it unbearable, the energy, the inflammation gone off my joints so they move properly, the anxiety, depression and ptsd from multiple traumas, all gone. Yeah, that's the reason I keep course. I'm 44 now and I couldn't feel better despite my medical history and funny enough since I've been carnivore keto, no tumors have resurfaced and it was making a point to be the death of me for 17 years. I literally lived in a hospital for 17 years, I had every birthday in those 17 years spent in a hospital undergoing multiple surgeries a year because of reoccurrence. You can't tell me nothing bad about this way of life not working because I'm living proof. My quality of life has been restored. It's sad the masses have been duped like I was. Thank God for that driving force that there is something that can help, even more so that I found it.

I cannot trust my government, I cannot trust the medical community. Both of you give me hope that I'm not crazy. Thank you for this discussion

I was injured in a hostile fire incident in Afghanistan in 2014 . Had a bad TBI, PTSD from more than 9 years of combat in the ME including Iraq & Afghanistan. I lived in Ft Worth & was on all kinds of medication & became a prisoner of my own home . I ballooned from 225 pounds of solid muscle after lifting weights for more than 20 years to 336 pounds. I literally couldn’t walk a qtr mile . Last June at 50 I had a non stemi heart attack ( stress related ) . I was going down the drain quick .
I told my wife we needed to move to a cooler climate & I needed to make some changes or I wasn’t going to be here much longer . We almost immediately moved to Branson mo . Then in August of last year I took all my meds and thew them in the trash ( I’d been on over 30 pills by now and only gotten worse ) & started walking & keto . Then after a few months I shifted to carnivore diet . By the end of January I had lost 110 pounds and could do 20 mile hikes from not being able to walk a qtr mile . Now I maintain a 225 -230 weight through carnivore & I fish 4/5 times a week on Tanneycomo. I only take a baby aspirin a day . Yes I still have ptsd, yes I still have migraines, and pain, but I have a life again and it’s all from carnivore diet & walking & dumping medication that wasn’t helping me and was only hurting me . I can honestly say it helped save my life & that’s a fact . It’s help my mental clarity, my mood, my skin, & so much more .

Wow I was checking my wife out of the hospital today and just mentioned to the gal that we were thinking of going to Carnavore and she bluntly said don't do it as you will harm your kidneys, get scurvy, and eating all that red meat you'll block your arteries so I was sort of oh my what am I getting myself into. So glad I've listened to you Dr. Berry!

I'm 51 and going through menopause, I had high blood pressure, diabetes, knee pain, hot flashes, mood swings, and weighed 190 at 5'4. After a year and half of Keto and intermittent fasting, I'm now 125lbs (college weight), blood pressure normal, no more type 2 diabetes, no hot flashes, no knee pain, mood swings are minimal, my skin is great, I feel focused (no foggy brain), I have energy like I had in my 30's, and I know I don't need a vaccine for Covid and believe I can survive Covid because my immune system is strong enough to minimize symptoms if I ever get it.

I’m 27, in the worst joint pain, I have never experienced this excruciating pain, but I’ve always been in pain. It’s just gotten worse. Today is day 1 on the carnivore diet, and I am praying that the pain goes away, and that I can stick to it all way through. I don’t want to suffer anymore.

Mikhaila always comes across as authentic, that's a testament to her parents. I care not about status, but authenticity in any person gets my 100% respect.

I started carnivore less than a month ago.... I feel better than I've ever felt. I trust my hunger for the first time in my life, and I've even lost some lbs. The lack of cravings is life-changing. I used to think about food 24/7, and now I sometimes forget to eat. I've never experienced anything like it. If you haven't yet, give it a try!

Today is day 103 on carnivore for me!! I ain't never going back to carbs/fruits/veg. I won my challenge of losing 20lbs. More energy, better sleep, running further, lifting more, got my 4 pack abs back, no more gas, no more bloating, no more joint pain, my skin looks amazing and I'm saving money by buying meat in bulk. My 74 yo Mother just joined the lifestyle and she lost 11lbs in 3 weeks and is feeling younger. Carnivore is a complete game changer!! 💪😁💪

I am 53 this coming June. At 7 I had a kidney removed. In that time, I have consumed meat almost every day. And plenty of it. I spent 10 years in the US Air Force. On my exit medical exam, I was told my one single kidney was one of the strongest, heathiest, and most efficient kidneys they have seen.

That opening point is really true and important. I used to think myself and everyone in my workplace were normal. Until I got healthy (also stopped drinking) and realised I was in a room with, at best, pre diabetic alcoholics.

I’ve watched Dr Berry for years. He used to gulp when he talked and his skin was always inflamed. He’s completely transformed. And his muscle tone is great.

I've been carnivore for about a month. This started out of vanity for me. I went on the "egg fast" for three days. I wanted to lose some weight. I physically felt better. I didn't realize how much better until I ate carbs again. The negative carb symptoms were immediate. I went right back to eating eggs and added deer meat. We are a homesteading family and grow our own chickens for eggs. We are also deer hunters. It's been a short period of time but already my 58 year old body is rallying back to health. I am blown away at the difference in the increased energy & health i am enjoying. I wouldn't trade this newly found health for any amount of bread, cakes, or cookies. Believe me, that's saying a lot. Bread and sugar were staples in my diet. Love your videos. Thank you for your time and caring.

I've lost 62 lbs in 90 days on carnivore. I now sleep 8 hours without interruption. I couldn't walk a quarter mile at 340 lbs. I'm down to 278 lbs and have no problem walking a mile. I'm looking forward to another 90 days.
