Smart is an all time great coach. With a win, I put him behind Nick as the 2nd best in the game. He always appreciates the moment. He respects the opposition in every contest. He won 4 titles as a DC with Saban and since he left he could have 2 titles at UGA. Saban also has 2 titles since Smart's departure. Both are 1-1 in title games even though Saban has a very close 4-1 lead. (easily could be 3-2 for Smart.)
As a lifelong Bama fan this is Woody vs Bo of the modern era. Saban is the GOAT. Smart as a DC is the GOAT. They built the best dynasty ever. Now we have 2 identical twin programs. One more win and UGA moves into a solid 2 or 1B. Bama and UGA just recruited the top 2 classes. Saban brought in his best haul ever. I believe it's time for Bama and UGA fans to put down the swords and enjoy the ride. Both are strong.
OSU is going to be fine. They will be in the hunt every year. Day coached a great game.
I never count out Dabo even though I felt him and Venerables are better together. So many programs returning!!! College Football is in a great place!!!! RTR
