Windows 11 came along with some beefy system requirements, which made operating systems that ran Windows 8.1 and below, and even some Windows 10 machines, unable to upgrade or even clean install on the system. But, can we just upgrade from Windows Vista to 11? Let's find out!

If possible, back up the drive (it is a vm, so it’s just a file). Then try to flash the iso onto the drive (you’ll need another computer). Then, if it works then, restore all your non-windows based files from the backup.

Video idea:
What happens if you take Explorer.exe from an old version of Windows (say, Windows 95) and replace Explorer.exe from a newer version of Windows with the older version? How would the newer version of Windows behave? And would the behaviour be different depending on if the filesystems matched or differed? eg. if you copied explorer.exe from Windows 95 and replaced Windows 11's explorer.exe with it.

downgrade you mean.. win11 is so much worse then vista.. it even makes windows ME and microsoft bob look good.
