I had one on my chest one time that had about a foot long piece of hair and a small ball of hard pus or whatever gets trapped in there with it. I probably had the lump for half a decade or more before I realized what it was and took it out.

Ugh I remember having an ingrown hair in my lady region didn’t know at the time it was a hair bump thought it was a blackhead I squeezed it until it popped and as I was pulling it as it came out it looked like a clump of hairs no it wasn’t a clump this 1 strand of hair was so long it came out like a ball but as I stretched it out it was 7 inches long

That’s a very large ingrown hair. When it starts to grow inward it will hit a harder section and start to twist around.
