Novation LaunchKey Mini, Launch Control Review

Two new mini controllers from Novation compact and functional - we get a look

just fished my launch control out of the cupboard and connected it up. It has a potentially great feature that lets you scroll through templates. The problem is that you can really only use one template, rather than switch between them because as soon as you move a knob it changes the parameter to the knob level. Infinite encoders would make this device so much, better.

Are these "new"? I have had mine for a long time. The mini comes with overlays so you can have the traditional markings of Launchpad.

I'm an amateur musician and your reviews always get me excited to see new equipment. I was wondering how you get to learn about all this equipment. I have a keystation 49 & fast track; I understand most of what they do to use it; but all the equipment you guys look at is beyond my budget and technical capability.  How would I go about learning about music tech?

Hi! I have the lauchkey already and I would like to buy the launch control. I use also an audio interface (it connects via usb). My pc only has 2 usb port, how do I connect launch key, launch control and audio interface all together? which cables do I need? thanks for your help!

Hey sonicstate I have a question:
What would you suggest me to purchase? the launchpad mini or the S?
Are they the same exact things but just different in size?
I have average to big fingers (in width) would the LP mini still be good for big fingers or are the pads too small?

I'm using a launchkey mini and the 'InControl' function is not working for me. The launchpads are not lighting up - it's showing no clips loaded when in fact there are :'( Has anyone else had this problem?

Incontrol is exclusive to Ableton or will it work for similar DAWs like FLstudio?

It appears to me that most of these new controllers are software explorations more than hardware things. I'm willing to do the work with the controllers I have I guess.
