Novation LaunchKey Mini, LaunchPad Mini and Launch Control

Only announced a week or so ago, we got a look at the new Mini range from Novation, priced at £79 UK, they should be availble in the stores imminently

and whats the difference between the Launchpad, launchpad s, and launchpad mini?

They should have put endless rotary encoder with led ring on the launch Control . One row of those would be better that the two rows of classic encoder.
Multiple banks with classic encoders is a pain. I dont even see the point.

The launchpad original is not class compliant (so it's a pain to use with non OSX or Windows operating systems), the launchpad s has brighter lights and the launchpad mini is smaller (and a lot cheaper). Functionality wise they are identical.

Not true actually, Launchpad S has faster midi refresh rate making it more responsive and easier to map custom LED output. It also has a better firmware.

does it have real midi sockets to use to play a volca for example?

takeover is crap, you sometimes have to go down in order to reach 'takeover value' before going up, or vice versa. It makes a manual control completely counter intuitive, which is the point imo.

in my experience the mpk mini is an easily-breakable piece of shit with no documentation and no native interfacing with DAWs. get the launchkey.

Would it have killed you nit-wits to make the Launch-Control buttons velocity sensitive? Would have bought the damn thing yesterday if those were Vsens...
