Side note: I bought a 16gb RAM card because from what I could find online this would allow 8x8 dual channel, and the remaining 8gb on my 16gb card would run solo. Is this true or should I return it and get an 8GB card?

I own a 16 gb model and already upgraded the ram to 32gb and ssd to 2 tb....
1- get the same ram speed and size to run efficiently
2- I hate crucial products get yourself a Kingston fury 3200mhz ram
3- this has a tiger lake CPU but samsung did put limitations on the motherboard !! Don't try to force gen 4 ssd to this laptop gen 3 it is!!! And 2tb is the limit!
4- first thing you wanna do while after opening the laptop back panel is to detach the battery!!! Or you'll short the motherboard or your battery will stop working

I fcked up two Odyssey laptops by hot swapping the RAM & SSD from one to another. 1TB 32gb RAM onto a 512GB 16gb RAM model. Both laptop batteries were not charging afterwards, once both laptops reached 0% battery, they never turned back on ever again.

Please proceed with caution if you're going to upgrading the RAM & SSD to your Odyssey.

Glad Samsung decided to allow for basic disassembly for cleaning and upgradability. Most new tech is not repairable.
