Really appreciate the lack of music and just the sounds of the shop and your explanations of the process. Also less buzz from the lighting! Thanks for listening to your viewers and fans. Best of luck on the channel!

Rick, I commend you on providing what your viewers have been asking for: eliminating the music during the work so we can hear the equipment running; having you explaining the process; and showing us examples of the work on one of multiple parts. Just outstanding! The video was excellent and I look forward to the growth of your channel and the content you provide. Great job.

Rick, Excellent presentation, No music and quite a lot more explanations on the how and why of doing the things . For me this is a big improvement on the first couple of uploads .You asked for comments and suggestions and you had a few, also you have been wise enough to kindly take that in mind as this latest one in my opinion is the best content presentation, shouldn't be too long before you hit the 10K mark on the way up to many more.
From an England subscriber, thank you.

The quality of your videos have really improved. The content has always been great, But now that you are not competing with the backgound music when you are narating has been a major step forward.
Keep up the great work

No more moans and groans from me... the music has gone the CC is back. Then we get to your video, this is what I have been waiting for. Clear concise and beautifully presented video showing your skill. Like all experts you make it look so easy but we all know just how hard it is to achieve such skill. You must be one happy man as you have truly found your calling. Well done sir.

Thanks Rick. It's fascinating to see how people lived long ago.

It's so nice when you can hear as well as see the Craftsman at work and you sir are a Craftsman. When Dave recommended you channel I wasn't sure I would care about carriage lamps. In fact I don't think I ever gave them a thought... now I am fascinated. On Dave's channel I always hit the Like button before I watch and I'll be doing the same for you from now on. Good job and great work. Russ

Excellent video and so much better with narration. Am not at all familiar with metal spinning and it is fascinating.

A very interesting and well edited video Rick, thank you for not spoiling it by playing music in the background, it's much nicer just to hear you work! Your showing of the process on one, and then fast forwarding for the repeat procedures was spot on! I have seen the spinning process before, but I am always fascinated each time I see someone doing it. Do you keep the maple blanks for future use, or do you make fresh ones? I only asked because you re-cut the blank to make the second part and therefore you would have lost the pattern for the first part, if you see what I mean! Wouldn't it be better to make two different ones for each part? Keep up the fantastic work. Stay safe, and best wishes from "Over the Pond" ...Cheers. Les.

The quality of your videos has improved immensely. What you are doing is very interesting.
It can't be easy to talk to a camera.
Keep your videos simple and don't end up like some other Youtubers who you would think are auditioning for a some blockbuster Hollywood movie!

In College several classes I took to make the prerequisite hours as its called to get a degree was Speech, and by today's standards a rather archaic introduction video production one. Part of it was to make a video about a subject and either appear or narrate it and I still cringe when remembering seeing myself for the few minutes talking to a camera. But when talking/debating before a class even in High School there was a natural ease and thinking of a camera as just a listener as it were comes easily after awhile because unlike a person it will never have a opinion how good/bad you did. Narration is the easier to do because it's a conversation between the viewer/creator and many channels often use it 90%+ of the time because what's being showed is more interesting that just talking to the camera about what going on. Kudos on another video and showing how to both make a positive pattern and using it to spin reproduction parts of a lantern from long ago.
