What I did with my old Murray 20" was when the first wheel broke was go to Ace and get steel rimmed, ball bearing wheels. They were slightly smaller in diameter than the original wheels so when I installed them into the holes on the frame I just lowered the bolts to the bottom holes which made the frame sit higher. Now, if I ever buy another Murray I'll just go ahead and put the steel rimmed wheels from my last mower on it when assembling the mower out of the box.

This comment will be all over the place 😂. Found your channel this past winter when my I had an issue with my brand new snow blower burning up the drive belt. Found out they put the pulley on backwards so it wouldn’t spin an burned the belt up. Binge watched all your snow blower guides to make the snow blower last many years to come! Got a free toro 22 inch recycler about 3 years ago when I bought my house always had issues with it starting an needed to spray starting fluid in the air filter to get it going. Did a 50$ tune up off Amazon (spark plug air filter an oil change) an a new blade today. First pull after it was all done today started up no issues. Deffinitly glad I found your channel an your guides! Let the free lawnmower live on!

I have a Honda GVC190 and it's awesome and super reliable. I have a little side hustle and it gets a beating, still excellent. Glad I watch this video because I've been thinking of the Toro 30" a lot, it will come in handy because my little side hustle is growing, but don't want to spend too much like $3K or more just yet for a bigger mower. You mentioned Hobda stopped making it, if they make a bigger one like the Toro 30" I would be the first one in line to buy. That being said the Toro 30" is out for now, thanks for sharing 😅. Going to see your other video on Toro maintenance.

I bought a 22 inch Toro self pace mower the first year they came out. Love the all wheel drive feature. At my age in the seventies, it is a game changer. In all these years, I replaced one wheel and the original cutting blade last year. The wheel was replaced under warrenty. Have never had an isuue with the mower deck clogging itself. I have had clogging at the discharge chute for the rear bagger, when the grass is wet. It needs a bigger opening in my opinion. I would love having the 30 incher, but it's three time the cost of the mower I have. As far as cleaning the mower with the hose attachment, a waste of time. Not worth a darn. Easier to tip the mower and clean it with a jet nozzle on my garden hose, and a 100 percent better job too. If I didn't have my Toro, I'd be paying someone to mow my yard. Don't doubt your opinion on the other mowers, but as for me, Toro all the way.

Great video. I hope your right. One is on the way from HD.
Lowes changed their return policy. Apparently effective 4-1-2024, returns for many items must be unused. Otherwise it's a warranty issue.
I was reading the policy on their site, and was very confused so called customer service who is also not being very clear but said that's the new policy.
So I checked HD, and theirs is the same old return policy so ordered.
If it's true, Lowes is in big trouble... I did not get the extended warranty and will be sure to register the mfgr warranty. Thanks.

I just bought the Honda HRN216VKA from Home Depot based on your recommendation and it really fitting what I was looking for in a new mower. (And just mowed my 2 lots with it, super happy!)

But I will say I filled out the registration and they expressly say that for warranty purposes you do not need to fill out the registration. But along your lines of thinking, if you do register, you will (presumably, if we're being generous) be notified of recalls or issues with the mower / motor. But, even more kudos to Honda. If you don't send in the card, you seemingly get the same warranty as someone that does. Which sounds good to me.

I bought a time master at home depo on a managers special sale. On top of that it was considered used since someone had bought it put gas on it and brought it back. I haggled price down to $575. Aprox 10 yrs give take a yr I still have that mower works like a champ starts on first second pull and zero issues. Just about always bagged but realize it doesn’t like a full bag only aprox half bagger but started this yr to you side discharge

Hi JB… here’s one for you. I have a 1992 Honda with the “plastic” deck. Bought it because I would go through mowers because of rust, hence the plastic deck Honda. This mower is INCREDIBLE, so I gave it to my son-in-law and purchased a new Honda from a commercial dealer on County Rd. This time, of course a PLASTIC deck AND KEY start… remember, I’m 30 years older now 😝. Yes, its warranty card was sent in, and I called Honda to make sure they got it… I have an hour meter on it, with 30 hours clocked. All starting by key, not one issue, my question is… does the camshaft problem only appear during PULL start?…. Keep up the great work… I also Crown proof where you do. Go Bills

Until Honda comes back, do not buy any lawnmower to send a message to the government we want Honda back and need the healthy competition, American companies are getting too lazy to be considered good anymore, along with most other companies bring back Honda you have a huge platform spread this message

I bought Toro RWD not personal pace for $399 at Lowes. First use, would bind up when pulling backwards. Returned and got Toro FWD for $459, also 22" deck and stow and go. Haven't used it yet, still in box.

Thanks for the info!
I’m in need of a new mower and I’m leaning towards a super recycler. I’ve watched all your videos on the 190cc model. Not sure in the differences between the others. Lowes has 2 163cc models. One is 799$ and the other 999$. The 190cc is 850$ but it’s not available online. Any tips and which you one you think is best?

Just picked up the Honda. I've been using a 80v battery mower for the past few years (Kobalt), 2 of my 4 batteries are already shot and the price to replace them is stupid high. I've also always been annoyed by the mower changing speeds based on what it thinks I need to cut, suction on the mower is also meh. Had to get what's left of one of the best gas mowers again before I can't anymore. I really do like many of the benefits of the battery powered mowers, but I'm ok returning to gas for the mower, still have a gas powered snow blower anyway. Will keep my battery-operated trimmers etc though.

Push mowers are now $400 for a lower grade mower than a 2010 $120 Murray.

It makes more sense to get a mower from a trash pile and buy a $14 knockoff carb from Amazon or eBay and fix one. Briggs carbs aren't even bolted on. Just slide on after removing the wind cord cover.

A 10 minute first time DIY job and you'll likely have a wonderful little mower for under $100 even if you buy a used non running one for scratch.

Tecumseh mowers have two bolts...but not much harder.

Typically if the cylinder has complession the problem is a gunked up carb. Rebuild $20...replace in 1/10th the time for $11 to $15.
