God bless! I have original windows in my 1925 Craftsman and I had myself convinced re-glazing would be a skill beyond my abilities. Oh, nay nay. If I can caulk I can glaze.

Reminds me of the windows I broke as a kid. Dang baseballs! My parents made me replace the glass using this same method.

Is there a ready mix product for available in market, and if ever theres one Whats the product name and where to purchase? This glazing.

I had trouble getting the glazing putty correct. It wouldn’t stick. My dad suggested adding mineral spirits. What’s your secret to getting the putty so pliable? And I broke my pane with a point…put it to close to the glass. Ugh. I stopped at that window for the time being as my husband started sanding the exterior of the house and just finished painting today. We still have the windows to update though. I am the bread winner (civil engineering) and he is my handy man on my houses. I am limited on my time but I do love dreaming about helping him! He makes my visions come true. I can’t tell you how many times I mention you two to him and all the projects you are working on. You keep me inspired thru my work day, (I work remotely at home so I can direct him lol), and motivate me to try new tasks. Thanks for the info today. I guess this means the windows will be next on the list. Will be in a few months as we are heading to our home in the blue ridge mountains of NC because FL is getting a little warm. But feel so pleased that the before and after pics of just the exterior are amazing. It’s a incredible what new paint can do to a home, as before the peeling paint and colors looked awful! We are practicing preservation on this home. Built in the 1920s but had some 1960s updates that enclosed a porch with the louvered windows. I hated those windows but after adding a swing and new flooring/ paint it wasn’t that bad. It is like an extension of our living space. I think we will do some painting to update the exterior of those windows but they are staying for the time being. They keep the Florida bugs out! Happy Good Friday to you both.

I hit the 8 ball from a pool table through a window like this in a cabin we rented and none of the parents were there so I went to the shed that was there and found some extra windows that had broken glass on it and I removed one of the sections with a pocket knife 😂sliced my thumb a little but then I just set that glass in the window I broke but never sealed it or anything. We did call the owner and tell them tho and he said he would fix the rest of it later 😂😂
