Megascans Quixel Bridge Content is ALL FOR FREE when using with Epics Unreal Engine 4

Great News for the arch viz community, and everyone else using Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games. The Megascan Library can be used 100% For Free.

In this Video Tutorial I am going to show How to Setup Quixel Bridge with your Epic Game Launcher and UE4 Editor.

What does this mean?

Having all those Assets for FREE from the enormous Megascan library in UE4 is a FANTASTIC option for Level Design.

You can add photorealistic photo scans. Up to 8k Maps. I am using those assets for all my Unreal Real Time Projects. Even when using DXR (Direct X Ray Tracing).

It's a very powerful tool for landscape design and the use of arch viz renderings.

Thhe Tutoril covers briefly how to setup Quixel Bridge. And how to connect it with your Epic Games Account. And even more important. How to specify the installation folders to make sure you have a seamless connection between Quixel Bridge and your Unreal UE4 Editor.

Megascans did a great job. I love the UE4 Plugin. It allows you to quickly import photo scanned surfaces and objects. And you can use it even with real time ray tracing.

I love your videos, they are absolutely to the point and crystal clear.
Though one request, please don't keep repeating yourself. If someone doesn't understand something they can always go back in the video and watch again. But when someone is trying to figure out something whilst being in a time crunch, it tends to be very Very VERY annoying when you just keep repeating yourself and end up conveying a "10 minute" message in almost 23 minutes.

Brill! was having trouble with Bridge and exporting(found correct socket eventually).Showing the Megascan option in Unreal, and exporting from Bridge whilest in your project...would've taken ages to figure out, so thankyou!!!

We need an "updated" video on how to install Quixel Bridge Setup because many things have changed with UE 4.26 and Quixel Bridge 2020.4.2. The menu that you are showing (for "Asset Info" and "Download Settings" and "Export Settings" has all been removed), and the settings configuration for UE 4.26 is completely different now.

Awesome tutorial man ! Quick question, if I have a project on let’s say hard drive F , should I copy and paste the engine files onto F ? Because I installed the megascans plugin on my C drive and I’m not seeing the megascans button in my F drive projects

I have installed the plugin correctly and the green megascans button is visible in unreal engine
But the problem is when I click export the Bridge says exported successfully but in UE nothing happens. UE is not importing it.
So I have to import it manually.
Please help me

extremely helpful I am getting this message though No smoothing group information was found in this FBX scene. Please make sure to enable the 'Export Smoothing Groups' option in the FBX Exporter plug-in before exporting the file. Even for tools that don't support smoothing groups, the FBX Exporter will generate appropriate smoothing data at export-time so that correct vertex normals can be inferred while importing. is this within bridge settings or unreal?
