With only a limited amount of time to get all of your free Megascans assets before they go paid with FAB, it's a good idea to plan out your kits and start your downloads! In this episode we're going to create a kit library using the asset gym and migration method. This will allow you to download and organize collections that you can use in any new project through migration. It operates like the Vault in your Epic Games Launcher where your assets are stored in a project and then migrated over. Using the Asset Gym method, you're able to migrate your collection all at once instead of going down one by one.

I don't think this will work. Tim Sweeney said assets claimed from the launch of Fab to the end of the year wil be saved, not right now. You also do not have to download them in Fab just add them to the library.

The Quixel assets you save right now will most likely not carry over into Fab, wait for its release. People who think they are safe by claiming it now might be surprised next year when those assets are not in Fab.

The problem is, saving high poly source meshes takes mucho more space and sometimes, for cinematic production, you cannot use a lower res version of the scans.

You can purchase all of Quixel megascans, but is there a way to download all assets to Unreal or your computer?

Well if you "purchased" and own it I'm not sure they would "take" something you "purchased" away from you, that would be theft.

You should download them just to be sure, i have Bridge and once downloaded its physically in your computer

Why do you save assets on Unreal Engine

I knew two years ago that the library would not be free
So I downloaded it completely to my hard disk
But I deleted it

And I re-downloaded most of the library content and only the important ones for me and the rest were duplicates so I did not download them

And I downloaded them to my hard disk

So I do not need a specific Unreal Engine version as you did

But I import them to any old or new Unreal Engine version

And with 8k quality

And this was last year

How can you all think that the content of this library will always be available for free?!
