This is a very scary kick. When you see someone drop quickly like that you don't expect them to go for your head. Notice how his opponent scoots his legs and hips back, but keeps his head forward. On top of that the range of the kick is much further than most anything you expect to come at you in a fight like this. The technique is not fast overall, but it still seems like everything happens so quickly, and to top it all off the amount of weight behind it is crazy. I still remember that famous Fight Science clip where they measure the force behind different kicks and the capoeira kick's is massive!

Definitely one of the most slept on moves in Capoeira. I forgot the exact name of the kick but it just feels so natural when you get it for the first time and the power you generate is nuts. I'm a karate guy, but having this in the toolbox is a gamechanger.
