I believe a linear phase eq would eliminate phase issues. But may create ringing instead.

Also If you have an EQ with a linear phase option you can use Low pass and High pass filters without affecting the phase.

This is called paralel procesing ....you can also route a kick to one more chanel and proces it there and then add it up parallel to the original

thoughts on layering the kick up in double time and quadruple time and cutting out the tail? sounds quite snappy, have to reduce the gain to balance it out

you don't need to do this if you have a good sample !

Don’t you have to much low end after duplicating the kick? I always cut off the low end on the distorted layers
