wanting to feel loved, expectations around what your life ‘should’ look like at this age, it's no surprise that everyone is feeling this WEIRD pressure 🙃

if you're turning 20, in your mid-twenties or just generally seeking life advice, remember there's no one way to live!!

while i freak out a little at another birthday (even though age is a construct), i’m so so so proud of how i’m embracing my authentic self and growing into who i wanna be 🦋

FULL VIDEO: I read a book on how to spend your 20s

For what it's worth, I'm 35 and I swear my life only gets better every year. My best advice so far is to come to terms with the fluidity of this life. 🏄‍♀️ You change your mind, people around you will change. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to get it together and "figure your life out" because life changes always. Just work on your current goals with your whole heart and always work on self-improvement, and roll with the punches

I’m 26. My life still isn’t figured out. I never graduated college and now I’m married with a baby. I plan to go back to college soon though. But man. My early 20’s was something else. I wish I could go back and make different decisions. But idk if I could’ve. My brain just wasn’t developed like it is now. Even just 6 years into my 20’s, I have a clarity and peace I’ve never had before. Things are less confusing and muddled now. I have regrets but I also have compassion for my younger self you didn’t know any better. While I wish I could go back to make different decisions, I am best version of myself right now. And I love me. I wouldn’t give her up for the world.

this is so true! I am 19 now, starting to make a choice on my minor program and I am constantely scared of entering a path that I don't like and then having to follow that path for the rest of my life. Also putting energy in friendships with people I mith never see again. Thank's for this video, it makes me feel less lost❤

i saw someone say that when you turn 20 thats you turned 0 in adult years, when youre 21, youre a 1 year old adult, when you're 26, youre a 6 year old adult. you wouldn't expect a 1 year old to be great at everything, you've only been an adult doing adult things for 1 year.

Just saying, I’m in my 30s right now, and it is SO MUCH better than when I was in my 20s. I would not want to go back.

Completely true, you feel so confused because you have to make a decision about your life and it's so hard

As someone who made his bsc in mechanical engineering and doing his MSc right now while working in my field simultaneously, I have to say that my bsc was way more stressful than working and i definitely don’t want to go back to that time.

I just turned 30 and people still say it’ll be the best time of my life. We care less than in our 20s. I don’t think it’s true for everyone but I can confirm. The years we currently live are always the best years if that’s what we make of them!

I get what you are saying but I also want to point out that some people don't want to think about a career or necessarily plan their life around it. I still think that is important to remind ourselves that we can just enjoy things while it lasts. It is not just another way of living life but it is also a political way of doing it, because I don't believe in this weird capitalistic way of seeing ourselves as a machine we need to program right or else something will go wrong

It matters but also doesn’t matter. Whatever decision made usually won’t be final.

I would disagree with statement that everything matters. When I was in my 20s I felt like all those decisions mattered, I’m 33 now and they didn’t. I wouldn’t say it was my prime, I’m happier and more secure than I was in my 20’s - it would be awful to define your life by a chapter where the brain isn’t even fully developed for most of it 😅
