The MOST useful college course that I took was 1999-the psychology of mass media-taught me how media works and how to be skeptical about it. The issue that I have is that when I TRY to tell my loved ones that ACTUALLY “this is what really happens”.. they either act like I am COMPLETELY dumb OR COMPLETELY stuck up and tell me to quit acting like I’m smarter than the news. I TRULY just wish that class was a MANDATORY high school class because I just really want people to think about how the world works and see the news for what it is-attention grabbing. ALSO, small town news stations are the WORST-currently live in western PA with WTAJ and can INSTANTLY tell the people who watch it vs those that don’t. The news is causing a race war that does NOT exist in the way they show it. Makes minorities paranoid that we all think like that and same with LGBTQ and it’s DANGEROUS to have entire groups become paranoid off of false beliefs. Please share your education with your loved ones!!!

I remember when i was 7-9. My village had around 700 people. And there were 2-3 robbery and 2 in average murder in just my village every year.

Now the population is over 2000 im 22. There's 1 murder average a year. And thefts no robbery.
But 100% everyone will say we live in more danger than before.
It's probably because of social media.
