As a former Jack employee (1974-75) looks like you got it! We used to take the frozen mystery meat out of one and add to another one and “build a better taco”. There is nothing like this taco but will be trying your hack which I’m sure will be a great match! Thanks Sam for choosing this iconic taco!

I had to write my college English literacy test as a persuasive essay regarding what I would improve and how. I wrote an entire essay on how to fix the jack in the box taco. Retrospect I woulda picked how to fix world peace or something, but anyway, I did indeed pass lol. Love it, love the channel! I want a knife please!?

Definitely going to have to try this! I'm currently working on a copycat of their Honey Garlic Sriracha sauce. So far, I've got:
- 2 Tbsp Mike's Hot Honey
- 2 Tbsp Sriracha
- 1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar (seasoned)
- 1 Tbsp Distilled White Vinegar
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Tamari
- 1/8 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/8 Paprika
- 1/8 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/8 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil

It feels like it's so close but there's either something missing or maybe just a slight adjustment to something. It feels like it needs to be a little more smoky or earthy. I'm considering swapping out the regular paprika and just doing 1/4 tsp of smoked paprika. I'm also considering adding 1 Tbsp of water and doing a reduction to get things just a bit thicker and maybe help meld/intensify some of those things as well as better dissolve the powders. Anyone interested, try it out! And let me know if you have any ideas!

I moved to Florida from California several years ago and the three things I miss most about Cali as In And Out, real Mexican food and Jack In The Box tacos. I’m trying this tomorrow. Would do it now but just ate.

Back in 1993 I was repossessing cars in L.A. JITB was open 24hrs. We would take a break at about 1am....tacos and fries were the bomb combo! Couple that with an ice cold Coke and we forgot all about the people trying to shoot us, fight us and cuss us out. I havent had one of those in years!

This is great!! Back in the late 60's and the 70''s, my family owned a Dari Delite franchise in Idaho. We served these taco's back then made by a Company Called Butcher Boy. They were a popular item and very good! Mostly TVP and some seasoning. We sold cases of them!!

during my sophomore year of college, i lived in the dorm, worked all day, took classes at night, and thank goodness, JntB was right across the street from my work. JumboJack for breakfast before work and these beauties for dinner after work!! manomanoman... love this recipe!!!

Wow, I've been loving the Jack in the Crack tacos since 1972. Used to frequent the one next door to the gas station I worked at back then while going to college. In my mind the house sauce packet is a must have for this taco.
