Now THIS is a good flip. Didn't just throw chalk paint over an old dresser and replace the antique hardware with some low quality "trendy" handles like soooo many other flips

This is not a hack. This is skill, talent, experience and artistry. Well done!

This is more Ikea than Ikea. They need to hire you.

People use the word hack incorrectly. You basically built a nice cabinet using Ikea as a base. If anything it's a woodworking hack, not Ikea hack.

I'm always jealous of people who can do these types of projects. It requires more creativity and patience than I have. Really pretty.

And here I am getting anxious over the table top that came off that I think I need to superglue back on. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Whoa I wasn't expecting you to literally flip it, that was an awesome twist. Looks way fresh now

I was so confused at first because I thought she meant „flip“ as in rotate?¿ lmao sorry English is not my first language

I adore it. When you said an Ikea flip, I totally didnt think of LITERALLY flipping it. Like how cool is that. The design on the front couldn't have been easy and took some great measuring. Love the hardware too.

Hmm... Those IKEA units are hollow framed and thin panelled, they're not solid MDF or natural wood.
Because of the weight of the doors its guaranteed eventually the doors will sag/drop due to those thin light hinges and because the screw's won't have a natural grip as it's hollow framed and not solid.
(Just some constructive feedback)

I love how people somehow always figure out a way to be annoyed at the video.. especially if it’s a woman .. She did an incredible job as someone who has that same unit in my closet, I’d trade it for hers in a heartbeat.

Love that you use a Kallax. There are so many of them out there and we should update them and redesign them instead of throwing them away once their colour goes out of style

IKEA hack: if you need a white cabinet, buy directly the white one because they already made it. 😂 The final result is very cute btw! 😊

EDIT: guys, this is obviously a joke (I am an architect and I do the same kind of projects sometimes)! 😅🤷🏻‍♀️😂

So i love the idea of this. My only problem is that the doors are mdf and the sides are mdf. Mdf and lateral twisting forces don't go together because the wood is small partials held together by glue. So the hinges are taking all the weight of the doors so im thinking gravity plus time plus people opening and closing them equals something that comes apart after a few weeks.
Do i think it looks nice heck yeah its amazing. Would it last no.

Can you post a full video version? Or maybe just list the materials and dimensions you used please? I'd really appreciate it.
