One advantage is the patty is so thin that you can put lots of layers of onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and sauce. Try that with a normal burger and you can't get your mouth around it.

I was at a job site building a whole foods and I ate at smashburger for a few weeks everyday in Destin Florida great burger imo

btw, those tomatoes were grown on the vine obviously, but they have had a nitride gas applied in a cool enclosed room to ripen, but they will always be pink & not red & that's how you can tell, they won't have near the flavor of a vine ripened tomato

My fave & your best burger Tom is the 1/2 pound, medium rare with sauteed' mushrooms & onions, swiss cheese & a smear of mayo on 1 side of top bun, side order of those fresh fries, a cup of mayo, I dip my fries in mayo & not ketchup

Patented smashing tool . I read somewhere that whe NASA found out this guy designed this tool they brought him in to consult on some pending projects they were having difficulties with.

I tried a smash burger. The buns and seasonings weren't bad but the twat smashed both burger patties basically ruining what would've been a surely pretty good burger. Who wants to pay for a gourmet style double-burger (like a 20$ burger with fries) with beef papers instead of beef patties.
