As an agnostic, Frank Turek is bringing me closer to believing that God exists.

I like Frank Turek. He often seems like a more down to earth William Lane Craig. Craig had the intellectual and philosophical depth and sophistication, while Frank speaks more like an average person, just like I am. 😊

I got a few seconds in. "How does the fact that there is an objective morality point us to god?"
You're starting with a very large assertion/assumption there.
1. How do you know that there is an objective morality?
2. How can you prove that there is an objective morality?
3. How do you know the rules of this objective morality? If you say 'the bible' you have more problems.

If a person is completely honest and sincere within themselves, seeking truth, they will ultimately come to the conclusion that all roads lead to The Lord. He is Truth!

Fake Dr can't prove anything with his fallacies. LMAO

If Hitler kills homosexuals and certain ethnicities, it's morally wrong, but if God commands it, then it's OK? (Lev 20:13/Deut 16-17 etc.)

Morality definitely took a dive after all these people decided they didn't need any rules but their own.

Turek is wrong out of the gate regarding objective morality via intuition or God writing morals on our hearts.
Solms' book "The Hidden spring" describes how mammals (being social animals) evolved brain structures which are affects i.e. they create feelings which drive us to actions.
The affects (fear, grief, lust frustration, activity seeking, play and caring) are engaged in a two way conversation with our cognition and senses, constantly learning and adapting to our environment. This composite of senses, cognition and affects is the basis of consciousness and what might be called intuition and morals.
God is not needed to "write morals on our hearts".

Very well explained and very comprehensive. Thank you so much & God bless you!

Nothing brilliant about this, Turek standardly missing the point that there is no "purpose to life", but that life IS the purpose.
For all the talk about humbleness, people like these two play on people's innate self-centeredness on a regular basis.

Frank isn't popular or right because he's actually correct. Frank is popular and looked to as right because Christians need him to be right. When faith is challenged any defense will do.

I've been waiting for this video because morality is a topic I am confused by.
I will write a few points and questions out for anyone to address:

1. From what I can tell, Frank never proved objective morality exists... He said that our intuition proves objective morality exists. He never explained why it couldn't just be "ingrained in us through Evolution" instead, as the main comment stated.

2. If morality came from God, wouldn't it be ultimately subjective because God is a subject?

3. "God's nature" seems like a fancy way of saying his personal preferences/perspectives (the definition of subjective). (I've never heard anyone define God's "nature, " so correct me if I'm wrong.)

4. Appealing to God's nature when dealing with the Euthyphro dilemma raises questions:
What makes his nature the standard?
Why is his nature the way that it is?
Could his nature be different?

Actual moral philosophers exist and they've been writing about morality for thousands of years.
Turek ignores the fact that VALUE cannot be purely OBJECTIVE, it's a categorical mistake. His view also doesn't satisfy the IS/OUGHT problem that he's so fond of tossing at atheists.

There are answers to these questions, but apologists do not seem interested in finding them.

lol at the atheists in the comment section.
Atheist: Quit lying, Frank!
If he's lying about there being objective morality, then maybe he should actually keep lying? It's all subjective, right?

Morality is an imagined order, and intra subjective system brought about by evolution. Pretty simple to follow.

And remember, a person can live their whole life, following the laws of their community, loving their family, giving to charity, and being an upstanding citizen but if they aren't a Christian they are doomed to Hell for eternity.

Likewise, a child murderer can repent on their death bed and be promised an eternity of bliss.

Christian morality is gross

I just can't handle liars. Frank Turek is the worst apologetic liar, worse than William lane Craig. So many examples of contradictions in his own processes.

Small example- just said we aren't born knowing it and can be persuaded out of it. Then will say in other bits, god wrote it on our hearts which is why atheists know it outside of god ... which one is it bro? If you follow laws of logic on that they both can't be true at the same time. It's we are born with it written on our hearts or we aren't.

Atleast William lane Craig stood by his psychopathic stance of defending supposed divine command in Old Testament and committing genocide of women and children.

Frank constantly and consistently fails. He avoids answering questions on evil from his methodology and attacks secularism/ athiest methodology as the answer.... that doesn't fly.... you should be able to answer a question using your methodology.

If there is an objective morality, there is no sign that it was communicated to us by gods. As social beings we figured out long ago how to live harmoniously without messages from gods. Social animals display similar patterns, even ants and bees.
