Mom and Dad: Who's house are you sleeping at for Christmas? Are you coming with my family? You would rather spend Christmas with me, right?

the only advantage having divorced parents is the fact you get more presents on your birthday and christmas lol

This just makes me really happy that my parents are still together to be honest.

my parents ended things on good terms so Christmas was never really an issue... we always go to my dad's Xmas eve and he gives a stocking and money or a gift card and we eat dinner there and go back to my mom's house that night and spent xmas day with my mom who buys gifts you actually have to open. my parents even get eachother gifts...

Why are divorced parents so full of beef for each other even after years of being divorced? Can't you be adults and move on? For your kids at least?

Do people still give people Christmas lists...?

About to have the first divorced parent Christmas. We'll see how it goes since it's always been a pretty big holiday in our family. Just had thanksgiving where my whole family went to our neighbors and that was fine. Crossing my fingers the rest goes well!

my parents divorced when I was 8, im 22 and holidays are STILL a problem. my mom has custody and supported me financially and emotionally, so every year mom wins! cant blame her. she deserves for us to be together on the holiday if she cares for me all year round!

My dad left on Christmas eve and my parents got divorced after New Years...

The best way to deal with this is to go on a two week long cruise that "unfortunately" is during Christmas and New Year.
Every year.

this is my first year without both of my parents. It's really hard on my siblings and myself. We're so used to my dad putting up the christmas lights and village and making the house look beautiful. Having your brother and sister close to you throughout this definitely is key. I don't know where i'd be without them. Both of my parents absolutely despise each other and literally cannot be in the same room without screaming at each other. Merry Christmas and good luck dealing with parents out there that are like mine.

I am EXTREMELY thankful that my divorced parents get along and are peaceful even though they both moved on and are seeing other people, in fact, my mom and step mom hang out!

my parents are divorced so at my dads house we do "Christmas" on Christmas Eve, and I do the real Christmas on Christmas Day at my moms house

My parents are divorced, one lives in America, the other in london, but I'm just so happy to have them both and I love them so much.

I'm so thankful that my mom and my dad are still friends. I'm so thankful that my stepmom is friends with my mom. I'm so thankful that my mom can visit our house and there's nothing awkward or weird about it. I'm so thankful that my dad's family and my mom's family get along. I'm so thankful that my stepmom's family gets along with my mom's family. I'm so thankful that my stepmom's family makes me and my sister feel so welcome and loved. I'm so thankful that I don't consider him as my "half" baby brother, but as my baby brother. I'm so thankful that my three families feel like one big family. Not a lot of kids can have this.
If you or anyone you know is going through a tough time with divorce, please have hope and know that there's a brighter side to every situation.

I'm happy you all got the double Holiday side of the bargain! Some of us went from one big happy Christmas to the running joke between siblings being "What's a dad?! LOL." Sometimes one badass parent is better anyway!
