Parents: “this is for your own good, hunny.”
Kid: *having to do this every week while parents chill at their home still seeing their kids*

This makes me realize how lucky I am to have two parents who have been together for over thirty years..

Still better than being in a house where adults fight constantly. It's scary

As someone with parents who are still together, I'm very blessed and I will never take having them for granted.

I live in a country where having both parents together is really normal and it honestly feels so weird to know that many people in other countries aren't like us. I wish you all happiness 💖

The most relatable thing I’ve seen all day. And don’t even get me started on when people say, “YoUr sO LuCkY YoU GeT TwO BiRtHdAyS, cHrIsTmAsEs, etc.”

I feel this. Sometimes I feel alone in it, but things like this remind me I'm not. I switch week by week, so one week at my dad's and the next at my mom's. It can be a struggle and the amount of bags I carry is determined by the time of year. Half of summer, all of fall and winter I carry 3 backpacks and a duffle. If it's late winter I carry two backpacks, or a backpack and duffle. Spring I carry two backpacks and a duffle. And first half of summer two backpacks, or a backpack and duffle. I also wear pj's back and forth so my clothes at each house stays the same 😅. It's a Hassel to be brought back and forth, I can't wait for it to be over when I move out. Only thing is I will have to continue to split the holidays at least until I have my own family to share it with.
