I live in zone 9b. After spring harvest I let frowns grow. When summer heat is out of the 100’s, cut the frowns and get another crop. It will not be as abundant as springs harvest, 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Then let it go to producing frowns…

Thank you. We planted some a couple of years ago and I kept getting disappointed that they kept becoming these big flowery bushes and didn't understand what I was doing wrong or why they were doing that. I'm so relieved to know it's normal. We did let them grow pretty tall I just cut them down today I wish I would have let them go Brown. Oh well lesson learned

I just planted my new asparagus bed! I know I won't be harvesting any this spring, but I appreciate the information on their care.

I'm in Phoenix, and cut my asparagus bed back a few weeks ago. I'm getting spears coming up already!

Thank you for this, Angela. I started my asparagus bed after seeing a few of your videos a while back. It’s doing well, but I was just wondering a few days ago about how to tend it in the off-season. Much appreciated!!😊

Mine are still in their first planting year and it is so hard to resist picking any. Im had spears in spring directly after planting and again now in summer. They are a great investment 🙌

Hey Angela, would you please do videos of us coming alongside of you when planting plants and seeds throughout the year even if they are “shorts?” It sounds like a blast planting along with you!

Thanks for this video. I’m in N. Central Tx. Have had some asparagus growing, not very plentifully for the last few years. Honestly, planted and kinda forgot, with other things surrounding it. I’m going out now to dig it up and plant it in a better spot. There’s little …so I don’t know what to expect as far as roots right at this point !!! 😎👀😎

I always wondered what was the deal with those fronds. Thank you!

I have several asparagus plants in my room. I should probably put them in the garden. I was treating them like a fern

Just the video I needed right about now. I have some containers of asparagus that I need to clear out, especially after our recent freeze. I do see that there are a few green asparagus spears that I can harvest, that should be ok right? I planted them earlier last year as two year old crowns I believe, and I haven’t harvested anything, just let it grow.
