The problem with dating apps are often the people using them who are terrible at communicating(won't fill out a profile), suck at being honest(lies on the profile), and just want something casual(s3x).

I just can’t feel comfortable with someone I met online. There is no way for them to prove they aren’t lying about everything even if they are nice when you meet in person. It’s much easier to meet someone through school, work, or through a common friend

I can't imagine this. But I'm from a different generation. I went to a wedding two weeks ago where they met on Facebook. If they won't meet in real life or ask for money- then run.

When you’re bored, go to Micheals, joann fabrics, join a group with same interests, axe throwing…something! Being bored doesn’t justify looking for romantic partners. Who wants to meet a bored/boring person?!?!

I feel people lost the sense of constancy, with the apps. Nobody wants to dedicate for deeper connections

Eh they may not work for a lot of people, but I met my wife on one. There are genuine success stories. The problem is, so many people on these apps are so unbelievably shallow that they’re completely unreachable when it comes to actually forging any kind of connection. There is just a base level of mistrust that these sorts of people have for anyone, and that’s impossible to change with one date or a couple of meaningless texts

The problem is that dating apps are too transactional and everyone on there is at their best. Social medial has ruined everything and has set above average standards on everything and everyone. Then once you meet them or see the real human side or see them at their worst your expectations are not met. It’s fake, it’s standards are unrealistic.
