Just got one of these for 50 bucks. Old guy accidentally bought two of the same kind instead of another and said he wanted to bless someone else with a cheaper price. I’m glad he was generous because I normally wouldn’t have been able to afford this one but I’m loving it!

Just got this lovely turntable from my boyfriend for my birthday. My Dad passed away 2years ago and he used to listen to records with me ..when he passed his records ended up in my sister's garage in Hungary and now they are with me in the UK so I can enjoy them forever keeping Dad's memory more alive every day.

I love the flex of him using a song he wrote to avoid the copyright problems. That gave me a good laugh lol.

Wow, a turntable that comes with it’s own dust cover with metal hinges, is quiet and steady, solidly built, has speed selector switch and a way to fine tune the speeds, no fishing line parts, and not $3000 - what a concept!

I've had an RT-81 for almost 2 years now and am quite satisfied. Loved your comments about listening to 3 Rush records on it...that made me smile. Thanks!

I’ve been deliberating over which turntable I should buy, as I’m on a relatively small budget for a new setup. Your review has sealed it for me, the RT81 is the one.

Your passion and authority on this subject means I will trust what you have to say when it comes to all things audio. Nice, fair and comprehensive review. Enjoy your turntable :)

Thank you for this review! My fiance gifted me this TT for my 30th birthday. It's been a real treat to be able to listen to my father's records I inherited as well as new records I've purchased from my favorite current artists. I'm hoping you do a review of the Fluance PA10 Phono Preamp in the future. Mine just arrived the other day and I've enjoyed it tremendously. However, there's not a lot of proper reviews on the internet and I'm just now learning about this hobby. Your advice and work is greatly appreciated.

I picked this turntable up for my wife a year and half ago so we could listen to the albums she inherited when her Mum passed. We hooked it up to our existing Sonos system via the Play 5 speaker and have been very happy with it.

Stumbled across your review here in 2024, have been trying to choose between this and the AT LP70X, I liked the automatic features on it. I kept coming back to the Fluance RT81, love its features, the look and as you stated, the importance of weight, I ordered it 2 days ago. Can’t wait for it to arrive and have my first turn table.

Very thorough review, thank you. I currently own a Sony PS-LX300 turntable that I bought about a year and a half ago when I first wanted to get into the hobby. But now I really want to upgrade my turntable, and invest in a preamp and a decent cartridge. Before this video, I was eyeing the TEAC TN-400S. It's a very simple and elegant looking turntable, but it also retails for about $600 Canadian. This Fluance turntable has a very similar look to it, and after watching your review, I'm impressed at how much thought went into the design of this turntable, and how solid it seems to be, especially for that price point! I'm also really happy to hear that the sound quality is great, and that the speed rotation accuracy is just about perfect. I was honestly fully convinced that I was going to upgrade to that TEAC TN-400S, and all I needed to do was save a little more money before I could afford it, but after watching your review, you've really gotten me thinking about this turntable. I love the design, the build quality looks to be absolutely solid, the sound is great, and it's half the cost of the TEAC I wanted.

Received this turntable today and your review was spot on. From my 30+year old JvC Quartz to this is a revelation. Setup was a breeze. For the amount of money this costs it’s a great buy. Xmas came early for me!

Uploader/Vinyl TV - This is maybe the best review to know things about the 81 I have seen, absolutely amazing and we appreciate the editing. I actually lost the chance to get a 300 dollar AudioTechnics 120 with USB and Bluetooth and maybe I was lucky to look at the RT 81. Cheers, brother!

I bought the RT 85 on Aug. 14th 2019
I have it hooked up running through my Art Audio Vinyl One Tube phono stage and it sounds really nice.
Thanks Craig.
Good work

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this little belt-driven deck after owning a pair of direct drive Technics SL-1210 Mk2's but I must admit after trying it out for a month and thought about parting with it after that...I've fallen in love with it and made the decision to keep it for the spare bedroom. It's a lovely solid turntable and plays everything without skipping. Set up was easy and straightforward. The sound quality is amazing even though I've changed to a felt mat and changed the cartridge over to a hi-fi grade Concorde, it plays really well. I haven't got the heart to sell it or part with it, mine forever.

Finally remembered to come back and thank you. Purchased the RT-81, loved it, then added the ATVM540 based on this review. Very happy with both. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for putting these out. I upgraded to the 81 from a AT60x. It’s a beautiful player. I’ve had to t for a month now and can’t get enough.

Thanks! I just received my RT-81 today, purchased predicated on your videos. I LOVE IT!!! Its my first turntable and I am testing it against Amazon Music streaming. I'm playing a brand new album, Melody Gardot - My One And Only Thrill. The RT-81 sound is far superior to the Bluetooth streaming service!!!! I never knew what I was missing. I'm currently listening through B&W 704's, but will soon be hooking this up to my B&W 801 S2's.

Thanks again! Your reviews, in my opinion, are some of the best on YouTube! Realistic and honest, no marketing BS, much appreciated!!!! Please continue to provide your wonderful content.
