Star Wars Outlaws is the WORST game I've played in 2024 (FULL REVIEW)

I played and beat Star Wars Outlaws over the last few days... and it's the WORST game I've played so far this year.

The stealth mechanics and mission design are terrible. The open world content and story are extremely lackluster. The characters range from bland at best to completely unlikable at worst. You’re basically locked to one weapon for your whole playthrough and the progression system is totally underwhelming. The game mostly runs fun, but there are some performance issues such as pop-in, flickering, and a few hard crashes to desktop. On top of this, the game is much shorter than I expected - with the main story clocking in around 15 hours. I played through the entire main story and most of the substantial narrative driven side quests and I finished all of that in 22 hours.

FTC Disclosure - Ubisoft provided me a review code, meaning I got the game for free. I was not compensated or required to make a video and the opinions expressed here are solely my own.

Its safe to say Dan is NOT getting a trip to Disney from Ubisoft.

Maybe the reason Ubisoft hasn't made a new Splinter Cell game is because they no longer have the talent to do so.

if you think you're dumb, just remember that people still pay full price for Ubisoft games

Instant "everyone is aware as soon as one person spots you", is such a dumb, antiquated design.

i swear, these games feel like money laundering schemes

So you're forced to stealth but have no tools to actually play stealth. Got it, F this game and Ubisoft.

Remember when Star Wars was a prestige ip?

I felt a great disturbance in the force. As if millions of voices cried out in terror, then suddenly their wallets vanished.

Shoots head of armored enemy…not dead. Punches the same head with bare hands…falls “dead”. Yup, i heard just about enough.

Insta-fail stealth missions are a huge dealbreaker for me these days. Unless there are just a handful of them.

Can you imagine paying $130 for this, and you end up 100% it in like 3-4 days?

TIP: Boycott *ALL* Ubisoft games because they say:"Buying OUR games doesn't mean you own OUR games and we can remove them from your library anytime we please!"

Forced stealth and only one properly usable weapon? Game designers completely disrespecting their players.

My expectations were already low but Ubisoft managed to go below even that.

Gosh I hate these garbage stealth mechanics by Ubisoft. Blind enemies, but sometimes they’ll see you no matter what, instant invisibility in the grass, focus on takedowns and general lack of depth. Games like these feel like an insult after replaying Splinter Cell series.

"Let me guess... 3 alarms, and the mission is over?"

"Of course not, Fisher... this is no video game"

The fact a mission fail if you are not stealthy is awful. We are in 2005 or what ? Worth 20$ in a year with all the content and some patchs. Classic Ubisoft.

15 hours? I'm on hour 60 of my first elden ring playthrough and i still have some areas to discover. ubi just taking L after L. it's becoming more and more clear that they just want the DEI funding and nothing else. shame

Ubisoft Live Service Strategy: Release 4/10 game now and 2 years later and then you have a 6/10 mediocre game.
