I believe for hanafi Asr is double the length of the shadow of tule object. So you need to follow your madhab

What if we don't live in the equatorial zones. Where I live, in autumn and winter sun doesn't rise at all. It's very difficult to know the time just by observing the sun.

I live in Norway where, during mid-winter and mid-summer, the sun does not rise or the sun does not set. How would the prayer times work here?
