I used to speak one phrase and it later graduated to about five phrases which i prayed for up to 8yrs and i felt someway about it and nearly gave up entirely but i kept seeking and praying for more and i testify to the glory of God that, just three days ago i was speaking my 'few' tongues and before i knew it, i was overflowing with different uttrances i never believed existed. The "one tongue and different meaning each time". I'll be honest the LORD gave me twice. The first one I doubted and over time I can't remember, I felt bad and prayed again and received different phrases in tongues. I asked why am I repeating the same phrase. What I felt was what b ever The Lord gave you, be faithful and pray it. I thought to myself I'm just repeating the same thing. But what I felt in the spirit was that the meaning for these tongues though it sounded the same was actually different. Even though I might be repeating the same phrases again and again, it is actually coded and the Lord is hearing much different. I'm saying, or rather speaking in many phrases, or paragraphs that the Holy spirit is speaking to the father. So even if you have just a few words, be faithful and speak it. Ask the lord to fill you and give you more. And over time he will start adding more to you.
