I disagree, especially for those with GERD, which is a primary cause for sleep apnea. Sleeping on the LEFT side decreases reflux, decreasing sleep obstruction. Right side sleep increases apnea.

I'm scared to sleep on my back because of sleep paralysis, so I have always slept on my sides since I was a kid

I can't get comfortable in my back, though. Like, it's harder for me to breathe that way when I sleep.
