What I really love about Ghibli movies is that everything is filled with fantasy and wonder and mistery.
And instead of everything being clear after and during the movie, you will be left with some questions about what you saw. What was that creature even? How can this even be possible?
Dont try to answer them :) It's this mistery that that will make you want to come back

Spirited Away, Mononoke-hime, and Kiki's Delivery Service are just amazing. Watching a Ghibli movie is like being ported into a different world and experiencing magic

What I love about Ghibli is that it romanticizes life. It captures that incredible feeling of just living, the Little mundane things are made to seem extraordinary, and the plot never seems to be focused on an arch but just a story. This doesn't mean that life is always wonderful but looking at it through Ghibil’s eyes makes you appreciate it all the more because real life is never so excellent, and that’s why one should understand it by living all the more

He didn’t say a word about the music! Isn’t it crucial part of all the cartoons?

I feel like a lot of these Studio Ghibli films are being confused with Hayao Miyazaki's style. There are several different directors who make all of Ghibli's films, and they all have different styles. Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki are particularly contrasting filmmakers in that Miyazaki created unusual fantasy storytelling that was unique to anything else. But Takahata had an advanced sense of realism that was unparalleled to anyone, and actually made his films very mature and reflective of society, even as animated filmmaking.

He doesn't talk about Grave of the fireflies which beautifully captures the realism of war with an abundance of emotion.

I always they this. The best movies and graphics are always those which have a good pinch of fantasy but are still realistic enough to not appear ridiculous, but more like a dream. And as the narrator pointed out, Studio Ghibli manages to make the every day things appear exciting. This is why Studio Ghibli movies are so successful.

Howl's Moving Castle was my favourite movie as a child (with Spirited Away a clse second) but as an adult I'm beginning to appreciate Porco Rosso and Kiki more.

My sister-in-law recently introduced me to Spirited Away and I’m honestly amazed. I’m so bummed it took 28 years for me to see a Ghibli film! They’re so magical. I was truly transported to a different world.
