He’s a true leader. Can genuinely tell he’s well respected.

Train as you fight. It might seem sense less, but stuff like this could save your life in the battlefield. Thats a good instructor right there.

Good instructor. Tells him what he does wrong, tells him how its done correctly, shows it, does a quick review and asks if he understands.

Thats how everyone should be taught something. Short, precise, and not degrading.

That went better than expected. NCO showed great control of his Verbal Recoil.. 🇺🇲

People don't realise the importance of this distinction.

One of the more common malfunctions on the M203 is what is called a 'static firing pin', where the firing pin on the grenade launcher gets stuck after a successful fire.

The moment you load another round into the barrel and snap it close, you will immediately fire the grenade, hence why it is important to always point the launcher towards the target, even while loading.

Proper reloading of the M203 includes sliding your finger along the face of the receiver, to determine wheter or not the firing pin is portruding.

If the firing pin is indeed stuck portruding, one simple workaround is to quickly dry fire the launcher for 8-10 times, it should reset it back into the receiver.

an instructor who spends most his time yelling and inducing audible stress. Has your full attention when he speaks calmly. That recruit was saving this lesson in a core memory file.

Hes right. The less movement you make the faster you can move and the more down range your gun is pointing the closer to the enemy it is.

True leader, let him know what he was doing wrong and how to fix the issue. Didnt talk down on him or yell. Kept it chill 👌🏽

Man... I'm sure he can turn it up when necessary, but it's extremely effective when a teacher can correct a student without trying to make them feel stupid. I bet he even took the time later on to explain/remind WHY it's bad.

This man is helping the tide rise...

“I don’t know what all this shit is” is the most marine corps infantry thing I’ve heard in a hot minute

Wow, nice clear and calm instruction/correction. This is one of the guys I needed in my life when growing up. I would have gladly suffered a bit to learn from him. He looks like the stern but caring type. Thank you for your service !!!
